SMB Team is a certified Google Partner — a designation awarded by Google to agencies that meet rigorous standards across three categories: performance, ad spend management, and certifications. Here’s what that means in plain terms, and why it matters for your firm.

What the Google Partner designation actually requires:

To earn and maintain Google Partner status, an agency must maintain a minimum optimization score of 70% or higher across all managed accounts, demonstrate a minimum of $10,000 in managed Google Ads spend over a rolling 90-day period, and ensure that the agency’s team holds current Google Ads certifications. Google reviews these requirements daily — it’s not a one-time award.

To reach Premier Partner status — the top 3% of all participating agencies in the country — an agency must also demonstrate year-over-year client growth, strong client retention, new client acquisition, and meaningful investment across multiple Google Ads products, including Search, Display, Video, and Shopping. Premier status is awarded annually, and only the top 3% of agencies in each country qualify.
